This 10 day safari in Uganda combines the Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable National park, primates in Kibale and Birding in the major hotspots for bird watching. It starts in Entebbe to the western Uganda and back to Entebbe or Kampala.
Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls
Early in the morning, you start the drive to Murchison via Kampala – Gulu highway. It includes a stopover in Nakasongola to see the Rhinoceros in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and lunch. After this experience, you continue with a drive to Murchison. You arrive in the evening. You do an evening game drive and later you check in at the lodge.
Day 2: Game Drive & Boat cruise
Early morning, you will do the morning game drive to spot various wild animals like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and more. You head back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the evening, you do another game drive for more sights of animals and various bird species.
Day 3: Visit top of falls – Drive to Kibale
After beautiful moments in Murchison, you check out and visit the top of the falls. After, proceed to Kibale forest National Park. You stop enroute to have lunch. After continue to the park, the primate capital of Uganda. The drive inspires tourists with breathtaking views.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking
In the morning, you go to the starting point in Kanyanchu for the briefing. The responsible officer will brief you on how to behave while in the presence of the chimpanzees. After, you are assigned to a ranger guide and start the walk. You find the chimpanzees in the Jungle and see them as they carry out various activities. After the one hour experience, you return to the lodge for relaxation.
Day 5: Drive to Queen Elizabeth
After the day in Kibale, you check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. You reach the park in time for lunch. Check in at the lodge and have lunch. After, you will do an evening game drive.
Day 6: Game Drive & Boat cruise.
On this day, you do another game drive in the morning to see more wild animals and other wildlife species. After lunch, you will enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga channel in the afternoon to see more aquatic species like hippos, birds and more.
Day 7: Drive to Bwindi (Buhoma sector)
After Queen, you drive via Ishasha sector to Bwindi Impenetrable National park in Buhoma sector. You arrive in time for lunch. Check in at the lodge for lunch and relax as you get prepared for the gorilla trekking experience on the next day.
Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
In the morning, you go with your packed lunch and necessary gadgets and items at the park headquarters for the briefing. You are arranged into groups and assigned a ranger guide. After, you start the walk into the jungle. After discovering these apes, you be with them for one hour. You see them as they carry out various activities. You are advised to be a distance from these animals because there are very dangerous.
Day 9: Bwindi – Drive to Kampala
After the gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi, early in the morning you start the ride back to Kampala. It is an 8 – 9 hours’ drive and include a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. Later you continue with the drive to Kampala.
Day 10: City tour & Drop off at EBB
On the last day, you do a city tour around Kampala. You visit the Bahai temple, Kasubi tombs, Namugongo shrines, Uganda museum and the Gadhafi mosque. You have lunch in Kampala. After, drive to Entebbe and drop off at the Airport.
